Make-up artists are extremely important to any production and are brilliant professionals in their field. As we have fantastic Make-Up courses here at North Kent College and many students who decide to pursue Theatrical/Movie Make-Up, we decided to put together a list of influential Make-Up artists to inspire the next generation!
John Caglione, Jr.
John is best known for creating makeup for the most popular and most recognizable villain in recent history, Heath Ledger’s Joker. He has two academy nominations and began his working career on American comedy show, Saturday Night Live.
Stan Winston
Stan Winston has worked on many famous films as Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns and Big Fish, Terminator 2, Aliens and Jurassic Park.
Ve Niell
Ve Neill is an American makeup artist. She has won three Academy Awards, for the films Beetlejuice, Mrs. Doubtfire and Ed Wood. She has also been nominated for eight Oscars in total for her fantastic work.
Howard Berger
Howard has worked on some of the most well-known films including Pulp Fiction, Scream, The Green Mile, Big Fat Liar, Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & 2 and Disturbia.
