T LEVEL CONSTRUCTION WORK PLACEMENT
Archie is currently studying T Level Design, Surveying & Planning in Construction and recently completed his work placement with The Hill Group. Here we find out more about his experience of working on a busy construction site.

The Hill Group is a 5 star, award-winning housebuilder, they began 26 years ago and operate across London and the South East. Their pledge, known as Foundation 200, will provide 200 modular homes for homeless people over the next five years.
Archie has had a varied time during his work placement, undertaking tasks including; looking into the pre-planning application for the SoloHaus pods, snagging, liaising with consultants, creating payment invoices and working through the processes involved in tendering.
James Jarvis who has been mentoring Archie over the last few months, spoke highly of him, saying: "Archie has been an asset to have onsite, he came to us with a good standard of knowledge and has impressed us with his ability to complete tasks independently and accurately."
Archie was equally positive when speaking about his experience with his placement coordinator: "I have learned so much by shadowing the different teams onsite, from site inspections to reviewing technical drawings" he said. "The experience has helped me to decide on where to progress to next within the technical area and I hope to secure a degree apprenticeship shortly."
