We pride ourselves in being a friendly, inclusive University community.
The College is committed to offering high quality Higher Education programmes with outstanding value for money.
All of our programmes have a strong vocational focus and have been designed to give our graduates the best possible chance to succeed in increasingly tough job markets.
Our Higher Education programmes are delivered in partnership with world-class Universities and students consistently perform above national average with many going on to pursue careers within their specialism or continue on to postgraduate study with prestigious providers.
Our programmes are set up to accommodate students progressing from Level 3 as well as mature students returning to learning who want to develop new skills and employment possibilities.
Whatever your study programme, personal needs and interests, being a University student with us means that you will have a positive student experience from your initial interest and enquiry to the time you progress onto the next stage of your journey.
Dedicated areas for our undergraduate students
We have created dedicated areas for students studying one of our university-level programmes. These can be used for quiet study, for socialising with friends or for discussing tutorial topics with classmates. Each 'university hub' study area has full access to computers and printing facilities.
What you will find in the LRC

We have:

- e-books that you can access from anywhere. These can be really helpful when you are working on an assignment from home.
- IT facilities

- Group and individual study facilities
- An online catalogue that can be accessed from anywhere to search our collection, reserve items and manage your borrowing
- A dedicated study room for our undergraduate students
- DVDs
- Engaging and informative displays
- Support with information skills
- A welcoming atmosphere and staff who will be happy to help
Higher education students have access to the resources of their university in addition to those of the College. It is worth becoming familiar with the university’s extensive range of electronic content early on and the LRC will support you with this.
A 'personal' student experience
Going to some universities can be daunting: thousands of students all in the same place, lecture rooms holding hundreds of people and tutors you hardly ever meet on a one-to-one basis. Studying with us is different, we believe in a personal experience, which means all students benefit from smaller class-sizes and one-to-one contact time with their tutor.
A quality provision
Our expert lecturers and links with industry, alongside our partnerships with some of the top universities.
Whatever your study programme, personal needs and interests, we're focused on giving you a positive student experience from your initial interest right through until your graduation and beyond.
