T LEVEL CONSTRUCTION WORK PLACEMENT
Harrison is currently studying T Level Design, Survey & Planning in Construction, and is on a T Level work placement with a local surveying company. Here we find out more about his experiences in the workplace.

Harrison is currently part of the way through his T Level work placement with Spatial Dimensions.
Harrison started six months ago and works one day a week, and his day’s placement is something he looks forward to, saying: “I am enjoying it. It is hard work, but it is good and I learn something new each week.”
Spatial Dimensions are a UK-wide measured surveying company, with Harrison working for its Sevenoaks branch, although the role takes him further afield and has seen him visit houses, hospitals and hotels amongst other places.
When he is in the workplace Harrison is partnered with a Senior Surveyor, with Harrison praising Spatial Dimensions for being supportive and patient as he learns the job.
North Kent College’s partnership with Spatial Dimensions see students not only benefit from work placements, but also study sessions, and on-site and office training, so learners get a well-rounded view of surveying as well as the constructing industry, as a whole.
As Harrison comes towards the end of his placement he already he has plans for the future, saying that he has always wanted to do site management, with an end goal of becoming a Project Manager.
