Why did you choose North Kent College?
NKC had the closest course to the area I wanted to work in, I couldn’t find a local sports coaching course.

What would you say were the best three things about studying at North Kent College?
The teachers were laid back and passionate about the subjects. I enjoyed being surrounded by people of similar interests, and I liked the way I could schedule my practice around the timetable.

How has North Kent College helped your career?
It has definitely aided me to work better as I have a deeper understanding of how to adapt to different athletes.

Where do you now work and what’s next for you?
I work part-time at a golf academy, approximately eight hours a week. Mainly for valuable coaching experience as it may be an option in the future. My plans are to continue playing golf as an amateur for the next year, then hopefully turn professional and make playing my full-time job.

What has been your route getting to your current position?
I’ve chosen to finish education after leaving NKC to be involved in golf full-time. I turned down options of going to America for university.

Would you recommend studying at the College and why?
I would definitely recommend studying at NKC because of how many options there are and how laid-back the working environment was. I am now convincing my brother to join!

Describe your whole college experience and how it has enabled you to progress.
Overall my college experience was very good. I got along with all the students and teachers, and the workload was very manageable. It has enabled me to work with and advise a more advanced level of athlete, and has given me more progression opportunities to think about.

What would be the piece of advice you would give to someone thinking of coming to college or specifically coming to NKC?
Try to get most of the assignments done whilst in college, as it makes everything much easier, and frees up more time for practical activities.
