SCHOOL REPORT & GRADE SHEET
We would like to see a copy of your most recent school or college report (for applicants aged under 19 year). If you have been issued a predicted grade sheet, then please also bring this with you. If you have already completed a qualification, please bring confirmation of grade with you.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON THE DAY?
This will consist of a presentation about the course and an interview with a Lecturer from the Early Years Team.
WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?
- a copy of your most recent school or college report (for applicants aged under 19 years). If you have been issued a predicted grade sheet, then please also bring this.
- If you have already completed a qualification, please bring confirmation of grade with you.
- You may bring a parent/carer with you, but we ask that this is limited to one person.
MORE INFORMATION...
- You will be required to attend one compulsory taster days, prior to enrolment. The taster days are a fantastic opportunity to experience lessons and learn techniques within our department, a chance to meet the team and importantly, for the team to get to know you. Details of your allocated taster days will be provided at interview.
- Conditional offers will not be able to be given without submission of the written task and a satisfactory school report.
- All offers are subject to demonstrating your passion for the industry, as well as submission of a satisfactory school report/employer reference and the achievement of your predicted grades. Successful achievement during the taster days is also a requirement.
UNIFORM INFORMATION
- Learners must always maintain a professional appearance.
- Learners must always wear their uniform, which includes Green Early Years Polo shirt, black Early Years jumper, uniformed black trousers only and black trainers.
- Footwear must be flat black shoes or black trainers with no coloured detail. Trainers are permitted only if they are black. Other types of footwear, such as casual or brightly coloured shoes, are not acceptable, this includes Uggs and Crocs.
- Nails must be natural and at fingertip length. No additionalities to your nails such as nail varnish, gel, poly gel, biab or acrylic.
- No false eyelashes.
- Hair must be tied up during all practical elements of the course.
- Learners must wear their lanyard and uniform at all times whilst on site.
- All uniform must be purchased by the end of teaching week three date to be added. Unfortunately any student who has not purchased their uniform by this date may not be able to proceed with their selected course.
- Uniforms must be purchased and worn from date to be added. If uniforms have not arrived by this date, learners are required to wear a black T-shirt, black trousers, and black trainers until their uniform is available. Failure to meet these requirements will result in you being sent home.
PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
Learners must always act in a professional manner & reflect the core values expected of Early Years professionals.
- Learners must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Learners must not undermine confidence in the profession through poor conduct in their personal or professional life.
