As part of our interview process, we ask applicants to complete an entry assignment. This assignment is the first part of the interview process. It gives us an understanding of you and enables us to guide you to the correct course and level.

SCHOOL REPORT & GRADE SHEET
We would like to see a copy of your most recent school or college report (for applicants aged under 19 years only). If you have been issued a predicted grade sheet, then please also bring this with you. If you have already completed a qualification, please bring confirmation of grades with you.
INTERVIEW TASK COMPUTING - LEVEL 1
Complete an entry assignment, which must be a MINIMUM of 300 words.
Part 1: Personal Statement (typed or handwritten) including: why you are interested in studying the course and your previous experience studying computing or similar courses (this can include things you have learned in your free time, not just at school, such as building a computer, helping friends and family with IT issues, coding languages etc.)
Part 2: Identify the area of the course that interests you the most and why.
(Total 300 words MINIMUM)
INTERVIEW TASK COMPUTING - Level 2 & 3
Undertake desktop-based research on the latest computing technology trends. In the form of a report either typed or hand written please explain these trends, what are they and how will they impact the computing industry. This must be a MINIMUM of 300 words.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON THE DAY?
On your arrival here at North Kent College we will deliver to you a presentation detailing information about your chosen course including units, expectations and trips.
Following this you will be invited to a 1-2-1. During this we can discuss your career goals, aims and grades matching you to a suitable course and level. This will also give you the opportunity to ask us any questions in relation to the course.
