CCNSG Leading a Team Safely Course (LaTS) (1 DAY)
To be eligible to attend the LaTS course you must hold a current CCNGS safety passport (or Combined CCNSG ACE card).
COURSE DESCRIPTION
CCNSG Leading a Team Safely is a one-day workshop designed to provide an essential introduction to managing small teams within the context of Health and Safety in the Engineering Construction Industry.
These courses are delivered by specialist Health and Safety lecturers who are accustomed to working with a wide range of delegate abilities. The aim of the courses is to develop delegates’ knowledge of how to lead others towards following good standards of health and safety on site.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
This course is for anyone who could find themselves responsible for leading others on site.
COURSE CONTENT
This highly interactive course includes theoretical instruction as well as delegate centred exercises, and concludes with a multi-choice answer test paper.
The workshop covers a number of key topics including:
- How to communicate successfully
- How to lead a team successfully
- How to achieve safe outcomes
- Self-management
- How to work safely with others
It explores these topics in an interactive way and delegates’ participation throughout the day is a key factor.
The course is based around the concept of ‘The Good Job’ and structured into four elements:
- The Team
- The Plan
- The Job
- Good Job
