The programme is taught through theoretical, practical training and simulation. Each lesson will provide you with assessment opportunities as you work to achieve your goals and targets. You will need an active passion for hospitality & event planning and your tutors will encourage you to discuss your own achievements as well as the issues in modern hospitality.
During the course, there will be opportunities to achieve other qualifications in addition to your main BTEC programme. These additional qualifications may include, maths and English, event planning, first aid.
We support local charities and run regular events which students are expected to facilitate. As part of the study programme the learners will be expected to undertake 160 hours work experience within the Hospitality and Events Industry

The course requires successful applicants to have 5 GCSEs grades 4 and above these must include English and Maths. Successful applicants must also demonstrate a willingness to become involved in all aspects of hospitality, including the practical experiences

How will I be assessed?
This programme will use continuous assessment rather than examinations and you will be able to track your performance as you work towards the pass, merit and distinction grades. You will be encouraged to manage your own assessments and identify where you have met the required standards.
