CG L3 Diploma in Women's Hairdressing

Student will need a current Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing or 5 years of current salon experience as a working stylist English & Maths Grade 4 or above or Level 2 Functional Skills. Positive reference from previous education provider or employer. Any person wishing to complete a level 3 program in hairdressing must have attained a full level 2 hairdressing qualification. (Diploma/Apprenticeship)

Successful students will be able to use this qualification as a starting base for their career development. Depending on experience you could now apply to a wider range of employment opportunities within the Hairdressing industry. As well as continuing to work as a Stylist you may choose to specialise in either cutting or colouring, become a salon owner, work for product manufacturers and suppliers as a technician, become a salon trainer or the first steps to being a college lecturer. You may also choose to broaden your skills and enrol on programmes from the Beauty Therapy industry.

Assessment is continuous throughout the course. You will be assessed using a variety of methods including: observation, oral questioning, written questioning, online exams and assignment work.
