The Miskin Theatre is set to launch an innovative new level 4 acting course titled ‘Acting for Stage and Screen,’ designed to elevate all actors' performance and professional experience to the next level. This course will emphasise creating work for both the local community and the professional industry. Participants will collaborate on productions, showcases, and films, providing a dynamic platform for creativity. This exciting course will serve as a vital bridge between FE and HE, equipping actors with the experience and readiness to succeed in drama school and beyond.
This immersive programme combines rigorous training in acting techniques with hands-on opportunities in both stage and screen performance. Students will explore key disciplines such as character development, voice work, movement, and on-camera techniques, all while gaining real-world experience through professional collaborations. With a focus on innovation and versatility, the course ensures students graduate with a well-rounded skill set, a strong portfolio, and the confidence to excel in the ever-evolving world of performance.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must be 18 years or older and have achieved a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts at Merit grade or, A-Levels (C and above, including Performing Arts). GCSE English at a minimum Grade 4 or above and ideally Maths at minimum Grade 4 or above.
Applicants will audition and interview for a place on this Level 4 course. You will be asked to take part in a workshop and the outcome of your audition/interview will be assessed, and staff will let you know if you have been successful.

What progression options will I have?
Progression onto Vocational Drama schools or university, for example, RADA, Arts Ed, East 15, Rose Bruford, Mountview, Guildhall, LAMDA, Bristol Old Vic, Central School of Speech and Drama, Oxford School of Speech and Drama, RCS, RWCMD and many more.

What costs are involved?
Tuition Fees: 16-18 - free 19+ Advanced Learning Loan - £4650 Exam and Registration Fees (payable by all aged 19 and over): £190 This course may also attract additional costs, for example, kit, uniform, trips or books, that all students will be required to pay. How will I be assessed?
This qualification is assessed through two internally assessed and verified units (Unit 1 & 2), which are subject to quality assurance by UAL Awarding body and one internally assessed and verified unit (Unit 3) which is marked at Fail, Pass, Merit or Distinction. This will give your qualification a grade
