COURSE CERTIFICATION

This course complies with the STCW Regulation V1/2 para, 2 and Section A–V1/2 (para.5 to 8).  A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the assessment.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This three-day course is intended for personnel with previous small boat handling experience wishing to improve and adapt their skills for fast rescue boat operations.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

To participate in this course the candidate must hold a certificate for Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, or a Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft, or a Life boatman Certificate, and must provide documentary evidence of this on arrival.

You should be aware that the practical aspects of this course may be physically demanding, and that full participation is required to obtain certification.

Protective clothing and lifejackets will be provided, but students should bring warm clothing, their own swimwear (trunks, swimsuit etc) and a towel.  It is also recommended that students bring a tee shirt to wear in the pool, and a waterproof bag to take wet gear home, and if desired, clean clothing may be brought to wear in the pool instead of or as well as swimwear (this last is optional).
