COURSE CERTIFICATION
The course complies with Merchant Navy Training Board guidelines. The National Maritime Training Centre is an approved training centre and issues the STCW certificate upon successful completion.
Section A-VI/2 of STCW (paragraph 5) states that ‘Seafarers qualified in accordance with paragraph 4 in survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats shall be required, every five years, to provide evidence of having maintained the required standard of competence, to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities listed in column 1 of table A VI/2-1.’
ROUTE 2 (1 DAY) – Entry Requirements
Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (other than fast rescue boats) certificate or MNTB Life Boat certificate.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
- Medical fitness to undertake practical exercises
- Ability to comprehend English
- Proof of identity
- The Centre will supply wet weather gear, students should bring suitable working gear.
- You should be aware that the practical aspects of this course may be physically demanding, and that full participation is required to obtain certification.
DELEGATES MUST PROVIDE DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE OF PRIOR CERTIFICATION IN ORDER TO ATTEND THIS COURSE.
