UAL Level 2 Diploma in Performimg and Production Arts (Musical Theatre) is a full-time unique one-year training programme that introduces students to musical theatre training and performance following the Miskin Theatre's unique industry training model. It is ideal if you are new to musical theatre and dance training.
The programme will encourage you to gain a broad variety of skills developing your singing, acting, dance technique, and performance skills, culminating in performances at the in-house Miskin Theatre and beyond. You will participate in singing, acting, ballet, contemporary, commercial, jazz, tap, and musical theatre classes to support your ability to perform in a range of musical theatre productions. You will also learn about the different employment opportunities in the performing arts industry.
Our Study Programme includes opportunities for you to develop your English and Maths skills as required. You may be expected to complete either functional skills or GCSE qualifications as part of your course depending on your GCSE results.
As part of this programme you may be able to complete ISTD Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre Dance, and Tap examinations (additional costs apply).

Entry Requirements
Entry is by audition and interview. Applicants need to demonstrate a genuine interest and experience in musical theatre & have an understanding of their singing, acting and dance skills. 4 GCSES grade E (New graded GCSE 2) and above or performing Arts Level 2 equivalent. You will need a positive school report/recommendation/reference from your school/tutor.

What costs are involved?
Tuition Fees: 16-18 - free 19+ - £1650 Exam and Registration Fees (payable by all aged 19 and over): £175 This course may also attract additional costs, for example, kit, uniform or books, that all students will be required to pay. Please contact the College for further details.

How will I be assessed?
The course is production based and operates out of the Miskin Theatre. Learners are assessed in a variety of ways including studio-based and performance assessments, course work and presentations.
