IMI Level 1 Diploma Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Motor Sport)

A Good school report. Minimum 4 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above, including Maths, English and Science, or equivalent OR Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair - Entry Level and Entry Level 3. In addition, all students will be interviewed.

If you do not have formal qualifications to meet these requirements, we will be able to assess your readiness during the admission process.

Successful completion of this qualification will allow you to apply for a Level 2 qualification. Students can progress to the Level 2 Vehicle Technology (Motor Sport) course.

Teaching is a mix of theory and practical sessions. When a practical session occurs, these are generally supported by a technical instructor or technician along with the main unit lecturer.

By practical tests to illustrate competence and by multi-choice examination questions to demonstrate underpinning knowledge. A portfolio of evidence is also needed which requires written statements of support knowledge.
