Artwork

This level 4 course is the ideal entry route to a university programme in an art and design subject. Students will study a series of projects which emphasise the importance of research and the creative development of coursework, learning along the way about various influences and cultural references to allow for a more personal response. This intensive one-year course prepares you for study at higher education, enables portfolio building and explores the theoretical and practical elements to get you ready for University, employment, apprenticeships or whatever path you choose to take. The last stage of the course requires you to complete a final major project, which is self-initiated and is internally marked and externally moderated by the awarding body. At the end of each year this work will be showcased in the College End of Year Exhibition.
