Creative Digital Media (Games)

The aims of the qualification are to:

• Inspire and enthuse learners to consider a career in the Creative Digital Media Production sector.

• Allow learners to gain broad knowledge and understanding and develop skills in the Creative Digital Media Production sector.

• Support progression to specialised Level 3 qualifications in Creative Digital Media Production or an Apprenticeship.

• Give learners the potential opportunity to enter employment in a wide range of job roles in due course.

Essential skills While completing this qualification, learners may develop the knowledge, understanding and essential skills employers look for in employees. These range from familiar ‘essential skills’ such as teamwork, independent learning and problem solving to more tricky-to-measure skills such as:

• An appreciation for appropriate behaviour and dress

• Appropriate interpersonal skills

• Supporting other aspiring employees

• Personal manners and deportment

• Understanding work practices and how different roles and departments function within an organisation.
