Group of students in a classroom with person on TV Screens

Photography students at North Kent College had a unique opportunity to gain insight into the world of professional photography during an exclusive online talk with a photographer who has snapped some of the biggest names in music.

Scarlet Page, whose thirty years in the industry has seen her work with legendary bands such as The Rolling Stones, Oasis, and Stereophonics, shared stories from her illustrious career. She spoke about her journey from a photographer’s assistant to an award-winning artist, detailing the creative process behind some of her most iconic images.

The talk also included a Q&A session where Scarlet offered valuable advice on breaking into the industry. She provided practical tips on developing a unique photographic style, building a professional portfolio, and networking in a competitive field.

“It was incredibly inspiring to hear Scarlet’s journey and learn about the stories behind her photos,” said Janet Sparke, Photography Technician and Lecturer at North Kent College. “Her advice on making connections in the industry and staying true to your creative vision was really motivating for our students.”
