North Kent College Level 3 Year 1 Business students from both Dartford and Tonbridge campuses visited the University of Kent to learn more about university life and the Business School in particular.
As our Level 3 Business course allows students to obtain enough UCAS points to progress to university after their time at North Kent College, our careers and uni-connect teams have delivered workshops and trips to enhance the students understanding of University. With a strong relationship with the University of Kent team, they were able to organize this trip. The purpose of this was to enhance student experience to enable them to make informed choices about their next step after college. Through our KMPF/KaMCOP Uni-Connect project and working with our close partner University of Kent colleagues Brandan Hammond & Ruth Westbury, the trip was a great success.
The day involved a Hire and Fire Workshop, HR Lectures from Academics, information about Business courses at Kent Uni and a campus tour with student ambassadors to understand university student life.
Tanya Williams Lecturer in Business Studies said, "Visiting The University of Kent provides an opportunity for learners to see the fantastic facilities available to them and talking with student ambassadors helped learners understand the benefits of attending University!”
Alfie Russell Level 3 Business Studies student said, “Throughout the day at the Uni the amazing student tour guides showed us the morals demonstrated by university goers, and they answered every question asked, and showed us around nearly all the areas we wanted to see in the limited time we had. Furthermore, after the tour around we attended a classical college lecture. I found this extremely organized and informative.”
