North Kent College has a national champion in its ranks after student Aisha Ahmed triumphed at the Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Nationals earlier this month.

Aisha, who studies Digital Journalism at the Dartford Campus, took first place in her category of the Class 60 Led Dressage Walk at the event which took place at Hartpury College last weekend. Aisha also got a Distinction for her Horse Care and Knowledge at the competition.

Aisha, who has been riding for two years, qualified after winning the RDA Regional Dressage Qualifier in Dartford last month.

Well done Aisha!

Aisha herself was surprised at her success, saying: "It was something that I didn't expect to achieve, as I wasn't sure of my own ability as a rider. Four months ago this was just physiotherapy, however it turned into something much more."
