Students at North Kent College recently took inspiration from an award-winning beauty expert who talked to them about winning one of the most prestigious competitions in the industry.
Rebecca West won a gold medal in the Beauty World Skills competition in 2019. The East Sussex born beauty therapist imparted her knowledge on the students via a Zoom presentation from her home in Sydney, Australia.
She talked to them about her experience leading up to the competition and how she now has her own business within the beauty industry.
The students also had the opportunity to ask questions, and then used the advice to carry out their own internal competition. This is ahead of the KFE 4Skills competition they will take part in later this year, which showcases the skills of college students across Kent.
