Graphic Design student, Caitlin Parry, has recently been accepted into a prestigious university to study Graphic Design after college. Caitlin is currently in the second year of her Level 3 Diploma in Graphics and Illustration course at our Tonbridge campus.
Caitlin will be studying at UAL: Central Saint Martins in September 2023 after completing a portfolio of her work and being accepted by the university. Caitlin chose Graphic Design and to progress within that subject as she is really interested in pop culture and the impact of design on an audience. She also has interest in the practical sense of graphic design and creating pieces that put a point across and cause an audience to have a reaction.
Central Saint Martins is a public tertiary art school in London, England. It is a constituent college of the University of the Arts London. It is well-known in the Arts industry and has many high-achieving alumni in that field. Among the alumni of the school are the Turner Prize winner Laure Prouvos.
We wish Caitlin all the best in the future and are very proud to see her progress after her time at North Kent College.
Miles Jefcoate, Lecturer in Graphic Design said, “Right from Caitlin's 1st project in year 1, she has always gone way beyond creatively, what the project requires. She is an extremely gifted Designer with an illustrative edge, who loves visiting galleries in her own time for two reasons, to widen her creative horizons and the pure joy of experiencing great art.”
Miles continued, “This was exemplified with her recent personal logo designs, which had skilfully illustrated thumbnails, leading to an eye-catching array of diverse logo designs. She is still on the start of her creative journey. Caitlin will excel in the future."
