Culinary students from North Kent College shared their skills with pupils from a local school recently in an exciting culinary challenge.

The Level 2 chefs from the College visited St John’s Catholic Comprehensive School in Gravesend to work alongside sixteen Year 9 and 10 pupils to create dishes inspired by global cuisine.

The competition saw the St John’s students split into groups of four, with each group being overseen by two chefs from North Kent College.  They collaborated to produce food from around the world, to tie in with St John's own Culture Day, which had been held the previous day.

The collaboration began when 20 students from the school visited the College’s Gravesend campus for a tour and afternoon tea at The Gallery, the College’s professional standard, open to the public, restaurant.
