Lee Stafford Education host an annual competition to showcase the skills of all students that are studying a Hairdressing qualification from the Lee Stafford Academy.
The competition comprises of several categories :
1. Level 1 & 2 Styling
2. Level 2 Cut & Style
3. Level 2 & 3 Cut, Colour & Style
4. Level 3 Cutting & Styling
5. Student of the Year
6. College of the Year,
Brand-new categories
7. College Trainer of the Year
8. Most Watched Recipes.
This year, North Kent College students created the looks in class, took a picture of the finished piece and sent it to get judged by Lee himself and his team. In this year’s competition, three students placed in a category including one staff member.
Staff member Jenny Brooker won College Trainer of the Year, Rose Campbell Level 3 student at Gravesend campus received 1st for Most Watched Recipes, Brandi Ganpatt Level 2 student at Gravesend was awarded 3rd for Most Watched Recipes and Acacia Newton received Highly Commended for Level 3 Cut & Styling.
Jenny Brooker, Hairdressing Lecturer, North Kent College said, “I am amazed at the award, attention and messages I have received, especially as I was not aware that all lecturers receive Vada training, and I personally have not receive this opportunity.” She continued, “Most of my videos were completed at home on a Sunday morning. Yes, it was hard with time constraints, but through hard work and determination you will get there in the end. I’m thrilled!”
